Keith A. Singer has been practicing law in Arizona for 13 years, focusing in the areas of Family and Juvenile Law, Serious Personal Injuries, Business Litigation, and Mediation of Divorce, Custody, Property and Financial Disputes. In addition to "traditional" one party representation, I am available to serve as a neutral mediator with all parties who are committed to peaceful, non-trial resolution of their Family Law or other legal dispute. When I represent one party, I serve as an attorney/advocate for that party alone, with the goal of resolving the case in a manner favorable to that party, either through settlement or trial. Much of my legal career has been dedicated to this type of representation and I am a very effective litigator and trial lawyer. For parties who wish to work collaboratively to resolve their Family Law or other dispute, I can also serve as a neutral attorney/mediator instead of as a legal advocate for either party. In that role, I work with all parties together and use my knowledge, training and experience to help identify the issues, find acceptable non-trial resolutions, and, if desired, prepare the documents necessary to achieve finality. The parties are encouraged, but not required, to have independent counsel. Cases that settle do not require court appearances. Mediations and uncontested matters are almost always faster and less expensive than trial. My law practice involves both "contested" and "uncontested" cases. I presently charge an hourly rate of $275 per hour regardless. If mediation is your preferred choice, come together with all involved parties to the initial consultation. If mediation is not practical in your situation, do not come together. Once I meet with all parties together as a mediator I am not able to represent one party as their attorney without a written waiver from the other, should the matter become contested.
